Our Story
We are Yann and Sofiane, two friends living in Chiang Mai, Thailand, surrounded by temples.
When we first arrived, we were captivated by the quiet beauty of Buddhist rituals. Everywhere we went, people wore simple cotton bracelets, handmade symbols of blessing, protection, and connection. Each one told a story. Each one carried intention.
But we also saw something that stayed with us: monks preserving ancient traditions with very limited resources. Children in nearby communities without access to education or proper care. A gap between spiritual wealth and material need.
We couldn't ignore it.
These traditions survive thanks to the monks who keep them alive. But if we're going to share this sacred practice with the world, we have a responsibility to give back to the monks who create the bracelets, and to the children who represent Thailand's future.
That's why we started YimYang.
Not to extract a tradition. But to complete the circle.
Why We Do This
We founded YimYang on a simple, powerful idea: every act of generosity creates a ripple effect.
